Goodbye Michigan....Hello Florida

We have taken a roadtrip from Michigan through Tennessee and North Carolina before arriving in Pensacola. It was an adventure that started with an RV rental. May I say that based on our experience with Cruise America, we will NEVER RV again but the memories are priceless out of the "Caravan of Death" as we lovingly nicknamed it.
Problems with our RV:
1. It was a thousand years old. I know this because it had an outhouse and we found a teradactyl in it.
2. It had no air conditioning (it broke, not that it came without an air conditioning system. A lovely experience in summer.
3. It leaked. And I use this term loosely. The deluge that flooded each bed and bathroom from the skylights could only be beaten by the flood Moses endured.
4. It rattled. Again a mild term. We shook the bon bon out of ourselves each time the ignition was fired up. I had to hold a couple of babies and hold a few doors shut with my foot as we traveled 1000 miles to Florida.

HIGHLIGHTS

Nursing three babies in the back of a hot RV

Renting a cabin in the summit of Bryson City, NC and having the Guerra's meet up with us for a few days to white water raft and train ride through the Smokey Mountains.
Visiting the Nantahala Outdoor Center
Celebrating the Fourth of July with the triplets in North Carolina

Lounging in our cabanas in Pigeon Forge and the Pensacola Beach Hilton

Watching the Blue Angels from our suite in Pensacola
And finally settling in when the kids joined surf camp.

The trips seem to be growing too. Each with their own personality and nickname.
Scare-dee cat=Gigi

Mr. Butter Bean or Ladies Man= Carlos
Fatty Pants, Chunky Lady= Beau
Just loving life with the new additions

Mike loves his new job at the Andrews Institute. Full of athletes and soldiers. It is so nice to see the masses fawn over him like he deserves after so many years of schooling. It is so funny to hear people call  out for Dr. Harris and it is not for me. We are so proud.
We love the Redneck Riviera. It is a good match for us so far.
